History on the Rocks

A project to promote understanding of Nebraska's rich geologic heritage

History on the Rocks is a project funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation and is focused on understanding the sedimentary rock record, the major archive of Earth history. In addition to providing a web-based resource on Nebraska's geologic history, the project provides opportunities for high school science teachers and students from across Nebraska to examine the region's world-class geologic sites.
